In Behind-The-Ear hearing aids, the microphone, the receiver and the amplifier are located in a shell which is put behind the ear.
The shell is connected to the ear pore with a transparent tube and the addition of an earmold. They are smaller in size than the older technology hearing aids. Because of their small size, they are aesthetically elegant.
They are suitable for greater hearing loss with satisfactory results due to the increased capacity of the amplifier and to the distance between the receiver and the microphone.
